While all of the unrefrigerated products can be shipped using this website, customers must call the market during our normal business hours to order any perishable products (This website can’t handle the complications that arise from shipping perishable items). Feel free to call us any time between 7am – 5pm Monday through Friday or 7am – 1pm on Saturday to place your shipping order or for questions, comments, or concerns.
Bourgeois Meat Market ships ground, second day, or next day air via UPS. We ship most of our homemade Cajun products. Our products are separated into two groups:
Unrefrigerated products: Beef Jerky, Beef Styx, Summer Sausage, Crackling, TTS Sauce, Shirts, and Caps
Perishable products: Smoked Sausage, Andouille, Tasso, Boudin, Hogshead Cheese, Turkey Cheese, Fresh Sausage, and Boudin Burritos
We ship our unrefrigerated products in a normal box, and we can ship them any method mentioned above. In order to ensure that our perishable products arrive in good condition, we vacuum pack them (we charge $.75/lb for vacuum packing, same as in the store) and then freeze them the day before and ship them ground, second day, or next day air depending on the time of year. Perishable products are shipped in an insulated bag, inside a regular shipping box, along with as many icepacks as we deem necessary.
For all perishable shipments, we charge $10 for each box needed for shipping (one box holds 10 – 15 lbs of meat). This charge covers the cost of the insulated bag and Ice Packs. To help ensure the meat arrives fresh, the cooler needs to be relatively full to cut down on air space, so we have a 5 lb minimum order for perishable items only. We use current UPS rates for shipments which depend on the weight and destination of the order.
We recommend shipping to a business address to insure someone will be there to accept and care for the package. If shipping to a residential address, leave a note for the carrier. Bourgeois Meat Market is not responsible or liable for deliveries where the receiver is not available to receive the order. The driver will leave the package if no one is home and he feels it is safe to do so. An incorrect address could delay or prevent delivery of the package and Bourgeois is not responsible.
We make every effort to get your package to you in a timely manner. To reduce the possibility of late arrival of your package, especially during the busy holiday season, place your order early. Neither UPS nor Bourgeois Meat Market can accept responsibility for delays due to weather.
All orders are final. As this is a perishable product, there are no product or money back guarantees, and we cannot accept returns. If a shipping delay caused by the carrier or Bourgeois Meat Market (excluding weather delays) causes the product to spoil, you will receive a replacement or refund including all shipping charges incurred.

We can accommodate NON- PERISHABLE shipments to APO / FPO / DPO addresses via USPS.
If you would like to ship a package overseas please give us a call as these orders cannot be filled via our website checkout process.
